Thank you very much for taking the time to answer my questions personally, I'm
pretty impressed. I had expected some generic machine answer that wouldn't
really answer my questions. I now have the information that I needed - Have a
great day - S. Naquin - (from email)
Now that we have arrived home after our rather extensive tour of Canada, Alaska,
and America I’d just like to say how much we enjoyed the Alaskan part of our
trip. It went like clockwork and the tours were great, especially Tracy Arm and
Glacier Bay was also a highlight. Our accommodation was very good and pick ups
etc all went to plan so that everything was effortless and great fun. Thank you
for planning it for us. We have told everyone we have spoken to that this is the
way to go rather than taking a cruise and we are planning to come back in a
couple of years and go further north, probably with a car so that we can explore
a bit further in some places. I will be writing a review for Trip Advisor and
will give you a good recommendation which is well deserved.
Regards, Lyndal- Australia
Dear Tour Agent Sandy
Just wanted to say THANK YOU for your excellent help with our Alaskan adventure!
Everything went beautifully and we had a great time. Your help made a
complicated trip much easier. I will recommend you to anyone wanting to go to
Alaska. Print this out and give it to your supervisor. Not only did you do an
excellent job, you were "user friendly" Working with you seemed like talking
with an old friend.
Again, many thanks. The world could use more of you! Best wishes
Jacqueline - Williamsville, New York
You're the best! Everything went
so smooth and organized. Top quality adventures every time! I've
traveled all my life but nothing beat this trip! Loved the ferry.
This is the only way to see Alaska. Listening to what we wanted and
then putting together just the right vacation for us was no less
than magic! It meant the world to us. Thank you so much! Linda &
Zach
Thank you for all your assistance. Arranging a solo
vacation long distance can be a trying experience but you certainly
helped smooth the way. Best Regards, Victor
Dear Tour Agent Pat
We just want to say a big thanks for our Heart of Gold Tour 22nd July 2011 it
was a trip of a lifetime and everything went smoothly all the way. We took all
our thermals but they weren't needed the weather was drizzly some of the way but
that didn't stop us enjoying it. One of my many highlights was the glaziers the
weather was fine and we were able to get up close and we saw some break off and
come crashing down.
What we enjoyed by being on the smaller ferry ship (opposed to the big cruise
ships) was that we were able to get up close to everything. The locals in the
different towns are not keen on the big cruise ships coming into town. It helps
their economy, but the cruise liner companies own the stores and guide their
passengers to shop there. We were able to dip our feet in the Arctic Ocean so
that was great although it didn't nearly happen as a Polar Bear and Cub had been
sighted but luckily for us that morning they were no where in sight. Denali Park
was magnificent. We saw 13 Grizzly Bears many Caribous & Dall Sheep. We even got
to see Mt. McKinley. There was no cloud cover.
In all it was a great trip and you are congratulated on putting together such a
great package. We have just arrived back in Australia. We went to Vancouver &
San Francisco after our tour ended, so now we have to get back into everyday
living (a bit hard to do) Thanks once again Des & Maureen - Australia
Dear Tour Agent Pia
After the most wonderful vacation trip of our life we want to thank you very
much for all your perfect planning of our trip. Everything was organized
perfectly from you, from checking in at the Juneau Lodge until leaving on the
Columbia ferry. We had an unforgettable wonderful experience thanks to all the
brilliant planning you had arranged for us.
The highlight of the trip was our stay in Glacier Bay National Park. Now we have
to bring some order into our more than 1500 photos and to show these to our
friends. We certainly will recommend your services to all our friends who will
plan to travel to this most wonderful part of the world. You have done a great
job for us and we want to thank you very very much for your contribution of our
trip.
Sincerely Wolfgang and Gisela – Germany
About Tour Agent Carol
Greetings - I actually started by calling for some ferry scheduling information
with no itinerary, no plans, and no idea of route. We had the idea we could book
a ferry then get off and stay for a couple of days before re-boarding and going
to another destination. Carol immediately took on our project. She explained
Alaska Ferry Adventures relationship to the Alaska ferries, provided great
information, and proposed a possible itinerary. Through many emails and much
hand holding she created a very personalized trip for us. Carol was flexible,
cheerful, creative, and knowledgeable. Having just taken the trip the previous
summer she was able to recommend tours and lodging with credible authority. She
never pushed us into decision; she was willing to wait while we did further
research. I fully anticipate a continued relationship with Carol as we refine
our plans.
She is so available that we feel confident we will be able to contact her for
more suggestions and reservation assistance in the coming weeks. We have shared
her name with other friends interested in Alaska travel. Please recognize
Carol's wonderful customer service and travel planning skills. She is a credit
to your company, a great public relations spokesperson for Alaska Ferries and
Alaska Travel.
Sincerely Sharon & James - Seattle, Washington
Dear Tour Agent Becky
We have just returned from our Glacier Bay tour and thought I would let you know
how we got on. We had a very enjoyable trip and thought the scenery was just
spectacular. We were also blessed with reasonable weather- some overnight rain
in Juneau but otherwise dry and clear whilst we were staying there. Our trip
around Glacier Bay was blessed with blue skies and sunshine which obviously
added to the beauty of the trip. Rain marred our journey back from Skagway to
Bellingham but I guess 3 days out of the fortnight was pretty good going. All
our ferry journeys were excellent and we were impressed by the quality of food
in the Columbia restaurant. Even our small cabin was very comfortable and we
slept well much to our amazement. There was an excellent Ranger on board for our
long ferry ride back to Bellingham and he certainly enhanced the trip. Our only
downside was the slightly too long stays in both Juneau and Skagway but we
appreciate that this was to fit in with ferry schedules. We thought a day in
Haines might have been possible and would have made an extra place to visit. So
all in all a great adventure and a very beautiful state.
With kind regards - Jill and David - Canada
Dear Tour Agent Debbie
It was a wonderful trip. We did
get hit by a moose near Delta Junction but luckily did damage to the
driver's side (not the driver) and windshield but not so that we
couldn't drive the car back to San Francisco. Thought for sure that
Customs would make us fix the windshield before going home but they
merely asked (probably knew) what happened. The ferry dropped
us off in Juneau at 4 a.m. It was raining and dark. However, we did
go to the Mendenhall Glacier. Were happy not to spend too much time
in Juneau itself. We very much enjoyed our extra day in Ketchikan.
The tour with Lois was terrific. I've already passed Alaska
Ferry Adventures information on to neighbors who hope to make the
trip next August. Everyone is curious about our trip. We thought it
terrific. Beverly
Dear Tour Agent Kim
Very helpful with a
series of questions - patient and attentive, and got all the answers
I was looking for. Great service! Sara
